Answer one step at a time. This helps prevent post-launch issues (especially on mobile) and ensures we know you’re ready.
Launching your website means making it publicly accessible on your domain (for example, www.yourgym.com). This happens when your domain is correctly connected to your website through DNS settings.
Until launch:
- Your site may only be visible via a preview link
- Search engines cannot index it
- Visitors cannot access it using your domain
Yes. A domain is required to launch your website.
You have two options:
- Use an existing domain you already own
- Purchase or transfer a domain (you can do this inside Zen Planner Engage or through a provider like GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.)
If you don’t have a domain yet, you can still review and approve your site — launch just happens after the domain is ready.
DNS (Domain Name System) tells the internet where your website lives.
Think of it like:
- Your domain = street address
- Your website = building
- DNS = directions that point visitors to the correct building
Without correct DNS settings, your domain won’t load your website.
DNS records are specific instructions added to your domain provider.
Common records used during launch include:
- A records – point your domain to the website’s IP address
- CNAME records – connect subdomains like www
- Nameservers – sometimes used instead of individual records
You’ll either:
- Add these records yourself (self-launch), or
- Grant us access so we can add them for you
Yes — if you’re comfortable making DNS changes.
On this page, you’ll see Self Launch Resources for common providers (GoDaddy, Google Domains, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.) that walk you through:
- Adding DNS records
- Verifying connections
- Troubleshooting common issues
If at any point it feels confusing, you can switch to having us launch it for you.
To launch your site on your behalf, we need:
1. Your domain provider
2. Access to your domain (delegate access or login)
3. Launch approval (confirmation that the site is ready)
If MFA (multi-factor authentication) is enabled, you may need to approve a login or share a one-time code during setup.
If your domain already points to another website:
- Launching will replace what loads at that domain
- Previous websites may no longer be visible
If you’re unsure, let us know before launching so we can confirm safely.
After launch:
- Your site becomes publicly accessible
- Search engines begin indexing (SEO visibility builds over time)
- SSL (security certificate) finalizes automatically
- We monitor for DNS or SSL issues during the initial window
You’ll be notified once the launch is confirmed.
